Red maggots, sweetcorn, bread and pellets.

Getting There:
Off the A29 at Bury about three miles south of Pullborough. Leave Pullborough on the A29 towards Chichester. After passing through Watersfield, take the right turn onto the A2138 to Petworth/Fittleworth. Turn left immediately at sign to West Burton. Mill Farm Fishery is about 300yds on the left.

Mill Farm fishery is a three lake coarse fishing complex started around 16 years ago, offering great fishing in a beautiful woodland setting.

Mill Pond has 40 pegs with plenty of bankside cover and depths averaging three feet. It holds carp to 25lb, crucians and roach to 2lb, tench to 9lb and perch to over 4lb.
Hammer Pond is relatively new but holds an abundance of roach to 1lb, crucians to 2lb, perch to 1lb, tench to 4lb, and silver bream to 1lb. [Incidentally, Mill Farm holds the current British silver bream record of 1lb 12oz.]
The Specimen lake is 4 acres in size with 18 well spaced pegs, with depths around 7 feet. There are no fish under 10lb with all three carp species up to 30lb.

Reading the comments about Mill Farm Fishery at Bury. Would like to add i've been fishing myself at Mill Farm for the last two years and have enjoyed it everytime, always catch plenty in the specimen lake and caught alot over 20lb. Bailiffs friendly and helpful. You may catch a few small carp but its better than nothing.

Fished at Mill Farm Fishery many times and I have to say I completely disagree with previous negative comments. Always found the bailiff happy enough and it is a very well kept fishery in beautiful surroundings, but do agree there are many fish well under 10lb so their claim that there are no fish under 10lb is a bit rich. Managed to catch my PB here of 19lb. My son also had a 17lb mirror and my niece also had a PB 26lb common and have seen many twenties come up.

Mill Farm specimen lake. What a joke for a specimen lake. Fished the lake on several occasions now and seen 2 fish over the 10lb mark. For a lake with nothing under 10 lb its a bit strange all the fish u see on the bank range between 4-7 lb. I fished match lakes with better carp fishing and also found the bailiff rude and very unwelcoming. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I fished Mill Farm Fishery on 8th May 2010 after many previous visits. Caught 6 fish all under 10lb on so called Specimen lake which claims not to have any fish under 10lb. Toilet was filthy, bailiff very unfriendly. Told me and the person fishing to my right to keep our lines well away from the person to our left who was "not someone you want to upset" even though we were both well within our own pegs. He then spent the rest of day fishing with this person. May go elsewhere in future.
