Description

The CSAS owns or rents a variety of fisheries around London and the Home Counties.


These fisheries cater for all types of angling whether specimen hunting, match angling, pleasure fishing or fly fishing and all are regularly maintained to provide easy access and relatively snag free swims.

Full club membership is open to Civil Servants, whether serving or retired on pension, i.e. anyone who is an employee in a government department or agency, Royal Mail, BT, and other public bodies such as museums, research councils and Environment Agency, companies carrying out ex-civil service work and any other bodies affiliated to CSSC Sports and Leisure. There are a limited number of places available for associate membership.

CSAS own or rent the fishing rights to several productive fishing waters around London and the Home Counties. These comprise of river, canal and stillwater environments and cater for all types of fishing. Current club waters include Crabtree Lake near Egham Surrey, 1.5 miles of the River Thames at Datchet, Royal Windwor Racecourse, 3.5 lime of the River Kennet near Newbury Berkshire, half a mile stretch of the River Medway in Kent, Littleton Lake near Shepperton Middlesex, 1.75 miles of the Great Ouse near newport Pagnell, half a mile stretch of the Kennet and Avon Canal in Berkshire and East Whipley Lake at Shamley Green, Surrey.
