Description

Chartham and District Angling Society, formed approximately 40 years ago, when the founder members approached the local Parish Council about using the local gravel pit for coarse fishing

Their pretty 2.5 acre clear water lake near Canterbury was stocked with most species of classic freshwater fish, including tench, carp and pike. Where previously, there was also a large head of silver fish for match anglers, these are now reduced to make better accommodations for the primary pursuit, carp.

After many years of hard work, solely by the members the lake has been revived and membership of the Society is highly prized and as such, limited availability.

Location

Chartham, Kent
