Best Baits Sweetcorn, luncheon meat and maggots in summer. Casters, worm and maggots in winter.
Getting There / Directions The Fennes is in Bocking Village which is about three miles north of Braintree just off the A131 at High Garrett. Heading towards Sudbury, turn off the A131 into Bocking Church Street as directed by the brown Tourist Board signs. The fishery is signposted half a mile down Fennes Road.

The Fennes Fisheries is one of the most popular coarse fisheries in Essex offering carp and coarse fishing on 3 well stock lakes

With a total of 15.5 acres of water and over a 100 swims The Fennes Fisheries is one of the largest family friendly coarse fisheries in the area complete with an on site tackle shop catering for pleasure, match and carp fishing.

Probably best described as a general mixed fishery, The Fennes comprises of three lakes Ash Grounds, Hobbs Croft and Hill & Black.

All three lakes contain Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, Perch, F1s, Specimen Common and Mirror Carp to over 30+lbs
